Development & Validation Engineer Aeroacoustics

We are looking for an enthusiastic Development & Validation Engineer Aeroacoustics.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Analysing audio data to explain physical flow-acoustic mechanisms and validating simulation models.
• Programming automated and new analysis methods and handling large amounts of data.
• Advice during the development process on the design of acoustically effective components and secondary sound sources.
• Presenting the results to the individual specialist departments and staff committees and working closely with the simulation department.
• Supporting the specialist group in the preparation of manufacturer specifications on the acoustic properties of the wind turbine (warranty data).
• Communication with other internal specialist departments on topics relating to the acoustics of wind turbines.
• Preparation of documents and reports for WRD departments, customers and service providers.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree specialising in acoustics, audiology, computer science or similar.
• Very good programming skills in Python.
• Skills in machine learning.
• Good knowledge of maths and statistics for appropriate application.
• Curiosity, creative and critical thinking.
• Proactive problem solving and effective communication.
